Selling a home “as is” means sellers put up their homes on the market
without doing any repairs to improve its current condition. Rather than
putting tons of money, time, and effort to fix the issues in their home,
they put it up for listing as is, often for a lower asking price to attract
multiple offers.

Making the decision to age in place can be an incredibly liberating choice.
It’s a great way to spend your retirement years, and this goes well beyond
its ability to save money by cutting out the potential cost of a retirement
home or assisted living facility.

It’s halfway through the year, and you’re probably one of those homeowners

For the last 6 years, my March has been filled with sparkles, sequins and
smiles. Every spring, teens from all over the Bay Area come to the San
Francisco Princess Project to get a free prom dress and accessory.
Unfortunately, just like real estate in much of the country, prom has
become unaffordable to many since the average teen spends over $1000. Last
year, we helped over 2,500 teens!

When looking for homes online, home buyers might chance upon a property
with a “contingent offer” status. This means that an offer has been made
and accepted, but the sale is still conditional while both parties work on
meeting certain criteria.

Perhaps the most common mistake home sellers make is pricing the house too
high because of an array of reasons: the house means so much to them,
they’re looking to buy a more expensive home or trying to pay off debt, or
they believe that interested buyers will ask for a discount anyway.

Today, 17% of homebuyers are choosing multi-generational homes — that’s
when you buy a house with your parents, adult children, or even distant
relatives. What makes that noteworthy is that 17% is actually the highest
level ever recorded by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). But
what’s driving the recent rise in multi-generational living?
